Japan-Spain Wind Power Business Exchange Meeting

On October 26th and 27th, “Japan-Spain Wind Power Business Exchange Meeting” was held online hosted by the Embassy of Spain and Japan Wind Power Association.

Spain has set a target of 74% renewable energy in 2030 in order to achieve carbon neutrality in 2050, and many Spanish companies are promoting global expansion in wind power generation. At this exchange meeting, 13 of these Spanish suppliers made presentations.

We have been working with Euskalforging, a Spanish ring rolling manufacturer, to build a supply chain for large-diameter flanges for offshore wind farms along the coast of Japan. At this exchange meeting, we introduced this initiative as an example of collaboration between Japanese and Spanish companies.

We have positioned offshore wind power generation as the most important market in the future, and will work to establish our position as a supplier of offshore wind power components such as large diameter flanges.
