A seminar titled “Economic Security: Preventing the Leakage of Technology” was held at the head office of Shimoda Flange.

On August 18, we invited representatives from the Foreign Affairs Division of the Hyogo Prefectural Police Headquarters’ Security Department and the Aioi Police Station for a seminar titled “Economic Security: Preventing the Leakage of Technology.”

President Shimoda and managers representing various departments listened attentively to their presentations. Some specific cases involving the leakage of technical information via the internet and cyber-attacks were introduced. Especially the introduction of the realities of espionage and intelligence-gathering activities impressed us very much.

They pointed that the targets of such attacks are not only major corporations but also medium-sized enterprises like us therefore we have re-confirmed the importance of strengthening our defense systems against such attacks.

We would like to commit to reinforce our security systems while collaborating with relevant authorities.
